On Friday, a large number of devotees flocked to Indrakeeladri. With summer vacations and it being Friday, the crowd at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam increased significantly. Thousands of devotees stood in queues for a glimpse of the goddess, disregarding the intense heat.
To ensure that devotees faced no difficulties, the temple chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) and in-charge CEO Rangarao took special measures.
They personally monitored the queues throughout the day, interacting with devotees to understand their issues. They provided several suggestions to the officials to ensure a smooth darshan. Due to the high number of devotees, the inner temple darshans were temporarily suspended from 10 AM to facilitate quicker darshan for regular devotees. This allowed those waiting in the queues to have a faster darshan. To provide relief from the summer heat, cold buttermilk and purified drinking water were continuously distributed to devotees in the queues.
Additionally, free food and pulihora prasadam were made available throughout the day. Members of the board of trustees also participated in serving devotees by personally distributing water and buttermilk. Devotees expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the temple.
