In view of the intense heat, the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple has made special arrangements for the convenience of the devotees visiting Indrakeeladri. As per the orders of the temple executive officer (EO) and Special Grade Deputy Collector V.K. Sheena Naik, a program for the distribution of free drinking water and cool buttermilk is being extensively implemented until the end of the summer season. Continuous free drinking water facilities have been provided to quench the thirst of the devotees who come to the hill every day on behalf of the temple. Similarly, officials have stated that the distribution of buttermilk will continue uninterrupted from the Ugadi festival until June 15. The temple plans to distribute 2,000 packets of buttermilk daily on regular days, while special arrangements have been made to distribute 5,000 packets or more on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, when the crowd of devotees is expected to be higher. EO V.K. Sheena Naik mentioned that donors wishing to participate in this service program can contribute to this scheme by paying just ₹650 per day and obtaining an official receipt. He stated that this decision was made to ensure that devotees visiting the temple during the summer do not face any inconvenience, and he urged media representatives to promote this service program to the public. He also requested a large number of donors to come forward and participate in this noble cause.
