During the meeting held on this occasion, the collector stated that the government is focusing on the development of the areas surrounding the Srisailam Dam, land utilization, and resolving the issues faced by the people.

He mentioned that estimates for the construction of more drains and internal roads in Sunnipenta have already been prepared and that administrative approvals will be obtained soon. He stated that development works are being expedited as per the Chief Minister's orders. The collector revealed that approximately 1468 acres of forest land were de-reserved for the construction of the Srisailam Dam in the past, and a recent survey identified that 1427 acres of land is currently available. He noted that there are 5,824 constructions in the area, with a population of over 22,000. He mentioned that the process of collecting public opinions has been extended, and an additional deadline has been given for the receipt of applications.

He stated that the government will submit a comprehensive report to the court after thoroughly examining the public petitions and return statements. The collector warned that strict action would be taken if illegal encroachments are identified, assuring that the government would not evict houses merely based on the return statements provided by the people. Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy stated that the government stands by the people of Sunnipenta and that there is no need for any concern.

He mentioned that ₹10 crores have already been sanctioned for roads and drinking water works, and that measures will soon be taken to provide drinking water to every household through pipelines. The construction of CC roads in the village is progressing rapidly, and the MLA stated that permanent houses will also be sanctioned to eligible individuals.
