On Sunday, being a holiday, a large number of devotees flocked to the Sri Durga Malleshwara Swamy Temple located on Indrakeeladri.
With the summer holidays ongoing, queues for the darshan of the goddess filled up with devotees from early morning. Due to the high influx of devotees, temple authorities took special measures to facilitate a quicker darshan for ordinary devotees. They temporarily suspended inner sanctum darshans from 9 AM and canceled all types of VIP darshans until 2 PM. This made it easier for ordinary devotees to have darshan of the goddess.
Considering the intensity of the summer heat, under the leadership of the temple EO Sinha Naik, cold drinking water was provided to devotees through mobile water cans in the queue lines.
Devotees expressed satisfaction with these special arrangements. Additionally, free prasadam and annadanam programs were continuously conducted in the temple surroundings. Temple Chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) and members of the Board of Trustees inspected the queue lines to assess the facilities for devotees.
Assistant Commissioner Ranga Rao, along with the in-charge EO and temple staff, took special measures to control the crowd. Authorities reported that, with the coordination of the governing body and officials, they were able to provide a peaceful darshan to devotees without any inconvenience, even amidst the heavy crowd.
