N.T.R. District Collector Sri Lakshmi visited the Sri Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri on Monday evening. After the darshan, the temple's Executive Officer V.K. Sinha Naik presented the collector with a portrait of the goddess and prasadam.
Collector Sri Lakshmi inspected the primary health care center at the temple. In light of the summer intensity, he inquired about the medical facilities being provided to the devotees. He also reviewed the patient details register and gave suggestions to the officials regarding the management of medical services.
In view of the summer heat, he instructed EO V.K. Sinha Naik to make necessary arrangements to ensure immediate medical assistance for devotees in case of emergencies towards the temple and the ghat road. During this occasion, the district collector spoke with the chairman of the temple's governing council, Burra Radhakrishna (Gandhi), along with members of the governing council near the Rajagopuram.
Subsequently, the temple officials, along with the governing council members, inspected the surroundings of the temple from the Mahamandapam side.
