The Andhra Pradesh Labor Minister Vasanth Shetty Subhash visited the Sri Kanakadurga Devi temple located on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada and conducted special prayers.

Upon the minister's arrival at the temple, the temple authorities welcomed him in a traditional manner and invited him with the temple's formalities. The temple's Executive Officer (EO) V.K. Sheena Naik personally supervised the arrangements for the minister's visit and made special provisions for the darshan of the goddess. Subsequently, the minister participated in special prayers near the sanctum sanctorum and received the blessings of the goddess. After the darshan, the temple's Vedic scholars offered the minister Vedic blessings, while the temple authorities presented the goddess's sacred garments and holy prasad, honoring him. On this occasion, the minister discussed the temple's development and the facilities available to devotees with the officials.
