Chhattisgarh State Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma visited the Sri Kanakadurga temple situated on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada along with his family on Tuesday and performed special prayers. During his city tour, he was traditionally welcomed by the temple officials and the team of priests upon his arrival at the temple.
Afterward, he had the darshan of the deity in the sanctum sanctorum and participated in special prayers. On this occasion, the temple's chief priest Shankar Sandilya and temple trust board member Avuru Srinivasa Rao presented the Deputy Chief Minister with the deity's sacred garments and prasadam, offering Vedic blessings.
After the darshan, Vijay Sharma chatted with the temple officials for a while and congratulated them on the management of the temple.
