Vijayawada, July 4: In a significant step towards expanding higher education opportunities, Krishna University has launched its first Postgraduate (PG) Centre in NTR district, bringing the university's academic programmes closer to students in Vijayawada and nearby regions.

The new centre will start offering postgraduate courses from the 2026-27 academic year. Admissions have commenced, enabling students to pursue higher education without travelling to the university's main campus.

Officials said the PG Centre aims to improve access to quality education, support academic research, and meet the growing demand for postgraduate studies in the region. More courses are expected to be introduced in phases based on student demand and available infrastructure.

Education experts believe the establishment of the centre will benefit thousands of students in NTR district by providing better academic opportunities while strengthening the region's higher education ecosystem.
