Prime Minister Narendra Modi has virtually dedicated the redeveloped Rayanapadu Railway Station to the nation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Built at a cost of ₹35.67 crore, the upgraded station blends Andhra Pradesh's iconic Kondapalli-inspired architecture with world-class passenger facilities.
New additions include an air-conditioned waiting lounge, lifts linked to the foot overbridge, modern toilets, improved platforms, better parking, smart lighting and fully accessible infrastructure for Divyangjan and senior citizens. Andhra Pradesh Health Minister A. Satya Kumar Yadav, MP Kesineni Sivanath, MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad and senior South Coast Railway officials attended the inauguration.
Railway authorities said the redevelopment marks a major leap towards delivering safer, smarter and passenger-focused rail travel while strengthening transport infrastructure and regional growth across Andhra Pradesh.
