A remarkable surge of devotees thronged the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri on Sunday, driven by the public holiday and the auspicious Ashada Sare celebrations.
Temple authorities swiftly suspended Antaralaya and VIP darshan, opening all queue lines for free public access to ease congestion. Under the direct supervision of Executive Officer V.K. Seena Naik, officials remained on-site, ensuring orderly crowd movement, continuous supply of chilled drinking water through mobile units, and uninterrupted prasadam distribution.
Supported by city police, the temple administration managed the heavy footfall efficiently, with nearly 65,000 devotees receiving darshan by 3 pm.
