Chennai:Former BJP leader K. Annamalai has responded strongly to the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET examination, arguing that abolishing the medical entrance test is not the answer to recurring issues such as paper leaks. Speaking on the issue,

Annamalai said, "NEET is not the problem. If paper leaks occur, the system must be strengthened rather than the examination being scrapped." He stressed that strict action should be taken against those responsible for examination irregularitie.

He  also urged political parties not to exploit students' concerns for political gain. He said the focus should remain on ensuring a transparent, secure, and credible examination system that protects the future of students.

His remarks come amid nationwide protests and renewed political debate over the NEET examination, with opposition parties demanding accountability and reforms following allegations of paper leaks.
