The Srisaila Devasthanam will organise the Shakambari Utsavam for Goddess Saraswathi at the Kolanubharathi shrine, a temple adopted by the Devasthanam, on August 7. Temple Trust Board Chairman Potugunta Ramesh Naidu and Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao announced the arrangements. The special festival is being conducted at Kolanubharathi for the first time for the welfare and well-being of the world. As part of the celebrations, Goddess Saraswathi will be beautifully adorned with a wide variety of leafy greens, vegetables and fruits, followed by special worship rituals. The required greens, vegetables, fruits and other offerings are being arranged by devotees and donors under the guidance of Trust Board member Chittibotla Bharadwaja Sharma. The day's programme will begin with Suprabhata Seva at 5.30 am on August 7. Special rituals will be performed for the Goddess from 6.00 am to 7.30 am. Devotees will then be allowed darshan and Arjitha Sevas from 8.00 am to 12.30 pm. Madhyahna Kalaradhana and Maha Nivedana will be performed from 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. The temple will remain closed for a break from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm. Darshan will resume from 2.30 pm and continue until 5.00 pm. After 5.00 pm, further rituals will be performed and the temple doors will be closed. The Trust Board Chairman and Executive Officer urged devotees to take part in the Shakambari Utsavam and seek the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswathi.
