Devotee Safety and Convenience Top Priority as Vijayawada Prepares for Dasara Festivities 2026

Vijayawada officials step up preparations for Sharannavarathri festivities, focusing on efficient darshan, crowd regulation, emergency services and visitor comfort

A high-level meeting was held at Vijayawada’s Indrakeeladri to review arrangements for the Dasara Sharannavarathri festivities from 11 to 20 October 2026.

 District in-charge Minister Y. Satyakumar Yadav said over 25 lakh devotees are expected, with priority given to safety and convenience. Shelters, drinking water, seating, digital queue-time displays, food, medical camps and around 60 lakh laddus will be arranged.

MP Kesineni Sivanath highlighted eco-friendly drinking water and facilities for mothers with infants. Officials reviewed crowd control, traffic, parking, security, AI/CCTV surveillance, free shuttle buses and sanitation. Devotees can also access digital puja services and daily Nagarotsavam.
