A special Khadgamala Puja was performed in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh conducted the rituals following the directions of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan. The prayers marked 25 years of Modi’s public life and sought the blessings of Goddess Kanaka Durga for his good health and continued strength to lead the country towards a developed India. Ramesh said Andhra Pradesh was receiving priority in key projects, including Amaravati, Polavaram and the Bhogapuram airport.
Temple prasadam, a portrait of the deity and sacred clothes will be sent to the Prime Minister’s Office.
