Chennai, April 21:
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on Monday asserted that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has successfully countered what she described as “deliberate attempts to create confusion” in Tamil Nadu politics. Backing Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, she said the party remains united and focused on governance despite opposition narratives. Addressing reporters,
Kanimozhi said the DMK leadership acted swiftly to neutralize misinformation and politically motivated claims aimed at destabilizing public trust. “People of Tamil Nadu are aware and discerning. They have not fallen for such tactics,” she noted, emphasizing that the government’s welfare-driven approach continues to resonate strongly with citizens.
She credited Stalin’s leadership for maintaining stability and clarity within the administration during recent political turbulence. According to her, the Chief Minister’s transparent communication and decisive decision-making helped dispel doubts and reinforce confidence among both party cadres and the public.
Kanimozhi also took aim at rival parties, accusing them of trying to manufacture controversy where none existed. Without naming specific groups, she suggested that such strategies reflect political desperation rather than genuine concern for the state’s welfare. “These attempts only strengthen our resolve,” she added.
Reaffirming the DMK’s commitment to development, social justice, and inclusive governance, Kanimozhi said the party will continue to prioritize people-centric policies. She expressed confidence that under Stalin’s leadership, Tamil Nadu will remain on a steady path of progress, undeterred by what she termed as “baseless distractions.”
