According to officials, the fire is believed to have started in one of the shops and quickly intensified due to the large quantity of highly combustible materials such as wood, foam, plywood, and varnish stored in the market.

Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters launched an intensive operation to bring the blaze under control. Police also cordoned off the area and evacuated nearby establishments as a precautionary measure.
