Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu and conducted a detailed inspection of riverfront and water pollution–affected areas in Rajamahendravaram on Monday.
During the visit, the Deputy CM examined key stretches of the Godavari River, including ghat areas, and assessed environmental conditions as part of the state government’s push for a clean and pollution-free Pushkaralu festival.
Senior officials, including the East Godavari District Collector, Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation Commissioner, and other departmental heads, briefed the Deputy CM on the status of sanitation works, river cleanliness measures, and infrastructure
Pawan Kalyan reportedly emphasized the importance of strict pollution control measures and instructed officials to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to protect the sacred river during the festival period.
The state administration is intensifying preparations for the large-scale event expected to attract lakhs of devotees, with a strong focus on cleanliness, safety, and crowd management.
