Washington, June 17:
US President Donald Trump has made fresh remarks about the recent confrontation with Iran, claiming that American military operations severely damaged Iran’s military capabilities and altered the country’s leadership structure.
Speaking about the conflict, Trump said the final days of military action were particularly intense, involving large-scale aerial strikes. According to him, Iran had lost significant naval and air assets and was unable to effectively respond to US operations. He asserted that American forces faced little resistance during the campaign due to the weakening of Iran’s defense systems.
Trump also suggested that several layers of Iran’s leadership had been removed or replaced during the crisis. While noting that officials avoid using the term “regime change,” he argued that the emergence of a new leadership group in Tehran effectively represents a major political shift. He described the new figures as less radical and more focused on the country’s future.
The comments come amid ongoing international discussions about regional stability and the long-term impact of the US-Iran conflict. Iranian authorities have not publicly responded to Trump’s latest statements, and independent verification of several claims remains unavailable.
