Dubai | July 8: Tensions in the Middle East have escalated further. Just hours after the United States launched heavy attacks on Iranian military bases and naval targets, Iran has retaliated. Iran announced that it had targeted American military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for these attacks, stating that they targeted the American Fifth Naval Center in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. They also announced the downing of an American MQ-9 drone conducting patrols in the Gulf region.
In light of the attacks, Bahrain and Kuwait have put their air defense systems on high alert and have taken measures to intercept incoming missiles and drones.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the United States has attacked over 60 military centers, missile systems, and naval bases belonging to Iran. It is believed that these actions were taken following attacks on commercial vessels in the Hormuz Strait.
These latest developments have once again brought the Middle East region to the brink of war. Concerns are being raised that American military bases in Gulf countries may be subjected to further attacks. At the same time, fears of an impact on oil transportation through the Hormuz Strait are causing crude oil prices to rise in international markets.
