Hyderabad/Miryalaguda: In a major development, trainee IPS officer Udaya Krishna Reddy was arrested by police in Miryalaguda in connection with a sexual harassment case registered against him. The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into allegations made by a fellow trainee officer.
According to police sources, the case includes allegations of sexual harassment, assault, criminal intimidation and digital abuse. Investigators reportedly traced the officer to Miryalaguda before taking him into custody for further legal proceedings.
The case had drawn significant attention after the complainant, a woman trainee IPS officer, approached the police with allegations of harassment. Udaya Krishna Reddy had earlier challenged the FIR in the Telangana High Court, while denying the allegations through his legal counsel.
Police said the investigation is continuing and further action will be taken based on the evidence collected. The allegations remain under judicial and investigative scrutiny and have not been proven in a court of law.
