Las Vegas: Nearly 30 years after the shocking killing of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, a Las Vegas jury has found Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis guilty of orchestrating the 1996 murder.

The verdict brings a major development in one of the most closely watched unsolved cases in music history. Davis was accused of planning the attack that left Tupac fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996.

Tupac was just 25 when he was shot while travelling in a vehicle near the Las Vegas Strip. He succumbed to his injuries several days later, leaving the global hip-hop community in shock.

Prosecutors maintained that Davis played a central role in organising the attack, while the defence disputed the allegations and questioned the reliability of statements Davis had made over the years.

The case remained unresolved for decades before investigators arrested Davis in 2023. His prosecution subsequently renewed worldwide attention on the circumstances surrounding Tupac's death.

With the latest verdict, the long-running murder investigation has reached a historic turning point. Davis could face a severe prison sentence, while his legal team is expected to challenge the conviction. Tupac

Shakur continues to be regarded as one of the most influential artists in hip-hop, with his music and legacy remaining prominent nearly three decades after his death.
