Breaking News

New Delhi: Heavy rain and a powerful squall disrupted flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday afternoon, forcing the diversion of nine flights.

The weather system brought intense winds, with gusts reaching around 76 kmph, while heavy rainfall led to waterlogging in parts of the airport complex. The combination of strong winds and poor weather conditions affected aircraft movement and flight operations.

Several flights scheduled to land at Delhi airport were diverted to alternate airports as authorities managed the weather-related disruption. Passengers were advised to check their flight status with airlines before heading to the airport.

The sudden squall also caused disruption in other parts of the national capital, with heavy rain affecting road traffic and visibility in several areas.

Airport authorities and airlines were working to restore normal operations as weather conditions improved.
