KENGE, Democratic Republic of Congo: A devastating plane crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has claimed the lives of at least 14 people, including two senior military officials, sending shockwaves through the country’s military establishment.
The aircraft crashed in Kenge, Kwango Province, while returning to the capital Kinshasa from Kikwit. Congolese military officials said the plane developed a technical problem before the fatal crash. An investigation has now been launched to determine the exact cause of the disaster.
