The Ugadi Mahotsavams conducted at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple concluded grandly with Purnahuti, Vasantotsavam, Avabhṛta, and Trishula Snanam ceremonies. On the final day of the Mahotsavams, special prayers were performed for the deity, and special pujas were conducted for Chandīśvara Swami in the Yagashala.
Subsequently, chants, daily homas, and baliharans were performed for the welfare of the world. The Purnahuti was completed by offering Narikela, fragrant substances, pearls, pomegranates, new clothes, and other items into the homa fire as per the scriptures. After the Purnahuti, the Vasantotsavam was conducted. On this occasion, water infused with mantras made from turmeric, clay, and fragrant substances was sprinkled on the devotees. Avabhṛta - Trishula Snanam was conducted after the Vasantotsavam, where Chandīśvara Swami was taken around the temple and brought to Mallikagundam for the Avabhṛta ceremony.
The snapanam ceremony was conducted with pure water, Panchamruthas, Bhasmodakam, Kumkumodakam, Haridrodakam, Sugandhodakam, Bilvodakam, Pushpodakam, Narikelaodakam, and other offerings. Following this, the Trishula Snanam ceremony was performed. During this time, devotees believe that sprinkling Mallikagundam water on their heads will wash away sins and bring prosperity.
The programs were attended by Executive Officer M. Srinivas Rao, priests, Vedic scholars, members of the Dharma Karta Council, officials, and devotees. These events were successfully conducted as per the directives of the temple authorities.
