The Chaitra Month Kalyana Brahmotsavams are being held at Indrakeeladri.

As part of the Chaitra Mas Kalyana Brahmotsavams of Sri Ganga Parvati Sameta Malleshwara taking place at Indrakeeladri, the Ravana Vahana Seva was conducted with grandeur.

Devotional/Cultural

The grand Kalyana Brahmotsavams of Sri Ganga, Parvati (Durga) along with Malleshwara are continuing on Indrakeeladri with devotion and reverence. These festivities, held from March 29 to April 5, saw significant events take place on the second day. From 8 AM, priests conducted the Moola Mantra Havan. Subsequently, from 5 PM to 6 PM, programs including Upasana, Bali Harana, Aarti, Mantra Pushpam, and Prasada Vitarana were conducted with devotion.

As part of the Chaitra Mas Kalyana Brahmotsavams, the Raavana Vahana Seva of Sri Ganga, Parvati (Durga) along with Malleshwara commenced with grandeur at 5 PM from the Malleshwara Mahamandapam. According to Puranas, Ravana was the king of Lanka, a descendant of the Pulastya Brahma lineage, and a great devotee of Lord Shiva. It is said that Ravana, born with a part of Shiva, would only accept food after performing daily worship and abhishekas to Shiva. This belief holds that such a devoted Shiva bhakta, Ravana, undertook severe penance to bring Lord Shiva from Kailasa to Lanka and pleased him with the Shiva Tandava Stotra.

With traditional art forms, the Vahana Seva created a devotional atmosphere as the deities were seated on the renowned Raavana Vahana, while traditional art forms like Tappettu, Kolata dance, and Thalam Bhajan captivated the devotees. Amidst Vedic chants and auspicious musical instruments, the Vahana Seva procession began from the Maha Mandapam and continued through Kanakadurga Nagar, Ratham Center, Brahmana Street, Kottapet, Samarangam Chowk, and Main Bazaar.

On this occasion, temple officials, including temple chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) and EO V.K. Sheena Naik, commenced the puja by breaking a coconut. Local dignitaries V. Shiva Prasad Sharma, members of the trust board P. Raghavaraju, A. Srinivas Rao, and others participated in the event.
