Protest in Dhaka Against Alleged Persecution of Hindus

Dhaka, March 13 A protest was held in front of the Dhaka Press Club on Friday, where activists and members of the Hindu community raised concerns over the alleged persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. Several protesters gathered near the press club holding placards and raising slogans demanding protection for minority communities. Demonstrators urged the government of Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Hindu temples, properties, and religious rights. Participants in the protest claimed that incidents targeting the Hindu community have increased in recent months and called for strict action against those responsible.

They also appealed to international human rights organizations to take note of the situation. Police personnel were deployed near the protest site to maintain law and order as the demonstrators staged a peaceful rally. No major incidents were reported during the protest. The issue of minority rights in Bangladesh has periodically sparked debates, with community leaders demanding stronger legal protections and swift action against communal violence.
