China Backs North Korea: Wang Yi Praises Pyongyang Amid Western Pressure

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi lauds North Korea’s progress despite US and Western pressure, calls for stability and dialogue on the Korean Peninsula.

China’s top diplomat Wang Yi has praised North Korea for what he described as “remarkable accomplishments,” despite what he called sustained efforts by the United States and Western nations to suppress and isolate Pyongyang.

Speaking during a high-level diplomatic engagement, Wang Yi said North Korea has demonstrated resilience in the face of mounting international pressure, including sanctions and political isolation. He emphasized that external attempts to contain the country have failed to halt its internal progress and strategic ambitions.

The Chinese foreign minister accused the U.S. and its allies of pursuing policies aimed at destabilizing the Korean Peninsula. According to Wang, such actions have only deepened tensions in the region rather than fostering peace or dialogue.

Reaffirming Beijing’s longstanding ties with Pyongyang, Wang Yi reiterated China’s support for maintaining stability on the Korean Peninsula. He called for renewed diplomatic efforts and urged all parties to avoid provocative actions that could escalate the situation further.
