Vatican City, April 17
Expressing deep concern over the direction of global political leadership, Pope Leo XIV has intensified his remarks. In a recent speech, he noted that countries around the world are drifting away from cooperation, peace, and moral values.
The increasing conflicts, political disagreements, and human rights violations in the world appear to be the main reasons for his concern. "It seems that global leadership is working not for the welfare of the people, but for personal and political gain," the Pope commented.
He warned that issues such as the decline of international coordination and the rise of coercive politics pose a threat to world peace. He emphasized that without integrity, justice, and responsible leadership, the world is heading towards instability.
In this context, Pope Leo called on world leaders to reassess their policies and work to maintain the trust of the people. He suggested following a new path based on peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
