Washington / Jerusalem, May 24, 2026

U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have reportedly aligned on a hardline position that any future agreement with Iran must completely remove the possibility of nuclear weapons development

. According to statements emerging from recent discussions, both leaders emphasized that a deal cannot be accepted unless Iran’s nuclear capabilities are fully dismantled or strictly neutralized under verifiable conditions. The position reflects continued Israeli security concerns and Trump’s repeated stance that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

The talks come at a sensitive moment, with diplomatic efforts underway involving the U.S. and Iran aimed at reducing tensions and exploring a broader regional understanding. However, key disagreements remain unresolved, particularly over uranium enrichment limits and monitoring mechanisms.

Netanyahu has maintained that Israel will not compromise on its security red lines, while Trump has stressed that any agreement must guarantee long-term prevention of nuclear escalation.

Negotiations are still in progress, and no final framework has been confirmed, with major sticking points expected to dominate upcoming rounds of dialogue.
