Italy celebrated the 212th anniversary of the founding of the Arma dei Carabinieri, paying tribute to the men and women who have served the nation with courage, dedication, and a strong sense of duty for more than two centuries.

In a message marking the occasion, tribute was paid to Carabinieri personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, those injured while serving, and the thousands of officers who continue to uphold the force’s historic motto, “Nei Secoli Fedele” (“Faithful Through the Centuries”).

The Carabinieri play a key role in combating crime, terrorism, and organized mafia networks, while also contributing to environmental protection and public safety. Their presence both in Italy and abroad has made them a trusted institution and a vital pillar of national security.

The anniversary celebrations highlighted the force’s longstanding commitment to protecting citizens, maintaining public order, and serving communities across the country.
