Russian President Vladimir Putin has voiced strong support for  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that attempts by any country to influence India's sovereign decisions are unlikely to succeed. He emphasized that India, with its vast population and growing global influence, follows policies based on its own national interests.

Putin noted that India has emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing major economies and has strengthened its position on the global stage under Modi's leadership. He said New Delhi's foreign policy is guided by strategic autonomy and independent decision-making.

The Russian leader also expressed confidence in the future of India-Russia relations, highlighting cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, defense, and technology. According to Putin, the long-standing partnership between the two nations remains strong despite changing geopolitical dynamics.

His remarks come at a time when India continues to balance relations with major global powers while maintaining its independent stance on international issues. Putin suggested that India's growing engagement with various countries does not diminish its ties with Russia.
