 A tragic bus accident near the southern Iraqi city of Nassiriya has left at least 21 people dead and 19 others injured. The passenger bus reportedly crashed before catching fire, leading to heavy casualties

. Witnesses said flames quickly engulfed the vehicle following the crash, leaving many passengers trapped inside. Emergency teams rushed to the scene and worked for hours to rescue survivors and recover victims. 

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, where several are reported to be in serious condition. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Road accidents continue to pose a major challenge in Iraq, with poor infrastructure and traffic safety issues contributing to frequent deadly crashes. The latest tragedy has once again raised concerns about passenger transport safety across the country.
