A tragic motel fire in the US state of Ohio has claimed the lives of a Gujarat couple and their daughter, leaving their family and community in shock.
The victims were identified as Hitesh Suthar, his wife Hina Suthar, and their 20-year-old daughter, Ishani. The family, originally from Nadiad in Gujarat, had relocated to the United States in search of better opportunities.
The fire broke out late at night at the motel where the family was staying. According to local reports, they became trapped inside their room as smoke rapidly spread through the building. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and evacuated other occupants, but the three family members could not be rescued in time.
Authorities believe the victims died due to smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and officials are examining whether any safety issues contributed to the tragedy.
The incident has sparked grief among relatives in Gujarat and members of the Indian community in the United States, who have expressed condolences and called for support in repatriating the victims' remains.
