A grand ground-breaking ceremony was held on Tuesday for the restoration and development works of the Charlapalli Lake in the Uppal constituency.
This prestigious project is being undertaken jointly by the Telangana Department of Prisons & Reform Services, HYDRAA, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshmareddy participated in the inaugural event.
On this occasion, Telangana Prisons Department Director General Dr. Soumya Mishra, along with IPS officials, laid the foundation for the development works. MLA Bandari Lakshmareddy stated that the restoration of the Charlapalli Lake would not only aid in environmental conservation, groundwater recharge, and biodiversity preservation but also provide a pleasant atmosphere for the local community.
He mentioned that this project, being carried out in coordination with government departments and organizations, would serve as a model for urban development. Officials from the Prisons Department, HYDRAA, IOCL, public representatives, local leaders, and citizens attended the event.
