Uppal Congress constituency in-charge Mandumula Parameshwar Reddy has secured ₹80 lakh for the construction of a retaining wall and a steel girder bridge near the Ganesh Temple in Raghavendra Colony, Beerappa Gadda Division, Uppal Circle. On Monday, Parameshwar Reddy handed over the official sanction letters to representatives of the Raghavendra Colony Welfare Association. Speaking on the occasion, he said development works are being taken up across colonies in the Uppal constituency to address long-pending civic issues. He noted that the retaining wall would strengthen the canal embankment, help prevent soil erosion and protect nearby roads and residential areas during heavy rainfall. He added that the proposed steel girder bridge would provide safer and more convenient access for both pedestrians and motorists, improving local connectivity and enhancing public safety. The project is expected to significantly improve infrastructure and benefit residents in the area. The programme was attended by Division President Agam Reddy, senior Congress leaders Chen Reddy Raghupathi Reddy, Rajesh Mudiraj, Mahesh Mudiraj, Gangadhar Goud, Ajay Kumar Gupta, Sudhakar Reddy, Rajeshwar Rao, Murali Krishna, Kiran, Bhatkir Jangaiah, Mallesh Yadav, Venu Gopal and local residents.
