Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Condemns Police Action Against NEET-UG 2026 Protesters in Delhi

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly condemned the police action against students protesting in Delhi over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination

. He described the use of lathi-charge and tear gas on peaceful demonstrators as "deeply disturbing" and extended his full support to the protesting students.

Reacting through a social media post, Revanth Reddy accused the Central government of failing students over the NEET controversy and attempting to suppress their voices through police action.

"Every baton blow on protesting students exposes the BJP's fear of questions and the truth. The Centre must be held accountable for the NEET scandal. I stand firmly with students across the country," he said.

The protests took place on the opening day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, as students under the banner of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) organised a 'Chalo Parliament' march. The protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and called for comprehensive reforms in the National Testing Agency (NTA), alleging serious lapses in the conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination

Police stopped the march, citing the absence of permission to proceed towards Parliament. The situation soon turned tense, with police resorting to lathi-charge and firing tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. Several students reportedly sustained injuries during the clash.

 The incident has intensified the political debate over the handling of the NEET-UG 2026 examination and the Centre's response to students' concerns.
