South Central Railway Marks 80th Independence Day with Strong Performance

SCR marks Independence Day with cracking results, safer railways, better connectivity, greener initiatives and a proper push for future growth.

South Central Railway marked the 80th Independence Day at Secunderabad, where General Manager Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava hoisted the National Flag and received the RPF salute.

Senior officials, staff, families and students joined the celebrations, featuring cultural performances, a commando display and dog show. SCR posted ₹4,060.57 crore revenue, including ₹2,640.80 crore freight and ₹1,236.88 crore passenger earnings, with 30.593 million tonnes loaded. Safety remained a top priority, with 135.22 km of track renewals and 20 Road Under Bridges completed.

 Infrastructure works, new and regularised trains, 75 special services and 652 extra coaches boosted connectivity. Solar capacity reached 13.34 MWp, while Mission Zero Scrap revenue exceeded its target by 30%.
