Hyderabad: Tensions escalated in Telangana politics on Tuesday morning after police arrested BRS MLCs Thatha Madhu and B. Naveen Kumar Reddy from their residences in Hyderabad.
The arrests came a day after an alleged confrontation involving BRS legislators, with the Opposition party accusing the authorities of using excessive force and acting against its leaders
. Police teams reportedly reached the residences of the two MLCs in the early hours and took them into custody. The arrests have triggered fresh political friction between the ruling Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
