Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched a major crackdown involving NIMS Deputy Superintendent Dr Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar, conducting simultaneous searches at 13 locations in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The searches were carried out at properties and premises linked to the senior NIMS official as part of an investigation into allegations that he accumulated assets beyond his known sources of income.
ACB officials reportedly examined property documents, financial records, bank-related details and other key documents during the searches. Investigators are now scrutinising the assets and financial transactions to determine whether they are disproportionate to the officer’s known income.
The large-scale operation across 13 locations has triggered considerable attention in Hyderabad’s medical and administrative circles. The ACB is expected to assess the documents and material gathered during the searches before deciding on further action.
The searches are part of an ongoing investigation, and the allegations against Dr Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar remain subject to the findings of the ACB probe and due legal process. Further details are expected once the agency completes its searches and officially discloses the findings.
