Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions continue in the city of Hyderabad in light of the Ganesh immersion procession. With hundreds of thousands of devotees flocking to areas such as Tank Bund, NTR Marg, Necklace Road, Liberty, and Moazzam Jahi Market, the movement of vehicles has slowed down. As a result, the immersion process is experiencing some delays.
Hyderabad City Police reported that the procession has been proceeding splendidly in a peaceful atmosphere since yesterday. The police department expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation in preventing any untoward incidents.
The police revealed that the procession is expected to continue until the afternoon today. Police and traffic personnel are working continuously to complete the immersion of idols as quickly as possible.
The police clarified that there is no entry for regular vehicles in the areas of Tank Bund, Necklace Road, NTR Marg, PV Statue, and Indira Gandhi Rotary due to the congestion caused by the idols.
Unless it is an emergency, citizens are advised to postpone their travel on these routes and to choose alternative routes if necessary. The Hyderabad City Police urged people not to come onto the main roads with vehicles unnecessarily and get stuck in traffic.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar requested the citizens to fully cooperate with the police by paying attention to the official advisories and instructions released by the traffic department from time to time.
