Saurav Das has said that India’s young generation is increasingly demanding answers on issues including unemployment, education sector reforms, corruption, alleged election rigging, judicial accountability and media control.
In a post on X, Das said these concerns reflected what he described as the “real mood of the nation”, while accusing authorities of attempting to downplay public concerns through what he called “rigged surveys.”
“No amount of rigged surveys to show ‘everything’s not that bad’ and ‘popular support for one leader’ is going to fix these,” Das wrote.
He further said young people were increasingly questioning why they had been “cheated” and called for greater accountability from those in power.
Das’s remarks come amid continuing public debate over employment opportunities, the quality of education, institutional accountability, electoral transparency and the role of the media in India.
