MIAMI GARDENS, Florida, June 28
Colombia secured top spot in Group K while Portugal also progressed to the FIFA World Cup Round of 32 after the two sides played out an entertaining 0-0 draw in their final group-stage match.
Although neither team found the net, the contest featured several scoring opportunities and strong defensive performances. Colombia came closest to breaking the deadlock late in the game, but a headed effort was disallowed after a VAR review for offside.
The draw saw Colombia end the group stage unbeaten with seven points, while Portugal qualified as runners-up with five points. Both nations had already ensured qualification before the match, with first place in the group the only issue at stake.
Colombia will now face Ghana in the Round of 32, while Portugal are set to meet Croatia in the knockout stage.
The result capped an impressive group-stage campaign for both teams, who now turn their focus to the win-or-go-home phase of the tournament.
