Brazil came from behind to defeat Japan 2-1 in a thrilling FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 match, securing a place in the Round of 16.

Japan made a dream start by taking the lead in the first half with a well-worked goal, putting Brazil under pressure. The South American giants responded after the break with a much-improved performance, leveling the score before netting a dramatic late winner to complete the comeback. 

Brazil dominated possession for long spells in the second half and created several chances before finally finding the decisive goal in the closing minutes. Japan defended bravely throughout the contest but could not hold off the relentless Brazilian attack.

With the victory, Brazil move into the Round of 16 and remain on course in their quest for a sixth FIFA World Cup title. Japan exit the tournament after an impressive campaign that showcased their discipline, resilience, and attacking intent.
