 World No. 1 Iga Swiatek continued her impressive Wimbledon 2026 campaign with a convincing straight-sets victory over Karolina Pliskova to secure a place in the third round.

Swiatek controlled the match from the outset, producing a composed all-round performance to overpower the experienced Czech and keep her title hopes alive.

 In the men's singles competition, Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz also booked their spots in the third round with commanding victories. De Minaur displayed his trademark speed and consistency, while Fritz dominated with powerful serving and aggressive baseline play.

With several top seeds progressing comfortably, the competition is heating up at the All England Club as the battle for the Wimbledon crowns enters its next phase.
