Vijayawada Division sets a new benchmark with a record 97.35% train punctuality, reaffirming its commitment to safe, reliable and passenger-focused rail services.

Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway has achieved a historic milestone by recording its highest-ever single-day train punctuality of 97.35% on 6 July 2026. The Division operated 192 trains, surpassing its previous best of 97.24%, achieved on 6 August 2025 with 181 trains.

The record reflects meticulous operational planning, seamless coordination among departments, proactive monitoring and the unwavering commitment of railway employees. Congratulating the team, Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakiya said the achievement highlights the Division's dedication to safe, reliable and passenger-centric rail services. He praised the staff for maintaining exceptional punctuality on one of India's busiest rail corridors and encouraged them to continue striving for even higher standards of operational excellence.
