Zoe Ball has confirmed that she was not selected for a presenting role on Strictly Come Dancing, ending ongoing speculation about her possible involvement with the popular BBC dance show.

Speaking publicly, Zoe Ball revealed that she had taken part in the audition and screen test process but ultimately did not make it through to the final selection. She admitted that the experience was emotionally challenging.

The presenter shared that she had hoped to be part of the show’s new chapter, especially amid changes in the hosting lineup. However, she accepted the decision and said she respects the outcome

Ball also mentioned that the selection process involved multiple well-known television personalities, making the competition for the role extremely strong.

Despite the disappointment, she expressed good wishes for the final chosen presenters and said she is confident they will bring strong energy to the programme.

The BBC has not yet officially confirmed the full presenting team for the upcoming season, but announcements are expected ahead of the show’s return.
