Hyderabad, March 26, 2026 News Report:

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday made it clear in the State Assembly that improving healthcare services in government hospitals is the top priority of his government.

He emphasized that under the Aarogyasri Scheme, patients must receive high-quality and accessible treatment without financial burden. The Chief Minister stated that the government is committed to strengthening infrastructure, increasing medical staff, and ensuring the availability of advanced treatments in public hospitals across the state. He highlighted that people should not feel compelled to depend on private hospitals for quality care. In a significant remark, Revanth Reddy also stressed that doctors from private hospitals should contribute their services in government hospitals. He suggested that such a move would help bridge the gap in specialist care and improve overall healthcare delivery in the public sector. The government is expected to roll out stricter monitoring and policy measures to ensure effective implementation of Aarogyasri, while also enhancing accountability in both public and private healthcare systems. Officials indicated that new guidelines may soon be introduced to integrate private medical expertise into government facilities, ensuring better treatment outcomes for economically weaker sections.
