India-West Indies T20 Uppal stadium put on high alert as security and crowd-control plans reviewed

Officials reviewed security, traffic, crowd control and emergency measures ahead of the India-West Indies T20 match in Hyderabad

Ahead of the India-West Indies T20 match at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, on 14 October 2026, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumathi, IPS, held a high-level coordination meeting at the Commissionerate office.

HCA Secretary jeevan reddy and  HCA officials, along with representatives from Law and Order, Traffic Police, Fire Services, GHMC, the Electricity Department and other concerned agencies, attended the meeting. Key arrangements, including security cover, traffic management, fire safety, crowd control and emergency response, were reviewed to ensure the match goes off smoothly. All departments were asked to work in close coordination and keep contingency measures firmly in place for the high-profile fixture.
