Bengaluru, April 27:
In a significant political development in Karnataka, hundreds of supporters led by senior leader Keshav formally joined the Congress party in Channasandra area of KR Puram Assembly constituency on Sunday. The move marks a notable setback for the BJP in the region ahead of upcoming political engagements.
The induction programme was held in the presence of key Congress leaders, including KR Puram constituency leaders Mohan and Prof. Rajeev Gowda. Karnataka Minister Ramalinga Reddy extended a warm welcome to the new entrants and expressed confidence that their inclusion would strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders emphasized that the mass joining reflects growing public support for Congress and dissatisfaction with the BJP’s policies in the constituency. They also reiterated their commitment to prioritizing development works and addressing local issues affecting residents.
Congratulating the new members, Ramalinga Reddy said the Congress party remains dedicated to public service and inclusive growth. He added that the collective effort of new and existing members would play a crucial role in accelerating development in KR Puram and improving the welfare of its citizens.
