The Telangana Government will organise a special “Youth & Sports Week” from May 18 to May 23 as part of its 99-day governance initiative, Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika. The week-long programme is aimed at encouraging fitness, youth empowerment, leadership, and employment opportunities across the state.
The celebrations will begin on May 18 with the theme “Fit & Active Telangana.” Marathon events will be held at Hyderabad’s L.B. Stadium and in all district headquarters. Walkathons, yoga sessions, meditation programmes, and other fitness activities will also be conducted statewide.
May 19 will be observed as Career Day, focusing on skill development and employment awareness. Youth will be informed about job opportunities, sports university admissions, and recruitment into the armed forces through online and virtual sessions.
On May 20, a Youth Leadership Summit will be organised, featuring youth parliament sessions and painting competitions on social themes. Sports Day will be celebrated on May 21, encouraging young people to participate in various games and recreational activities.
The government has directed district officials to make all necessary arrangements and ensure wide publicity for the events. Youth, students, and sports enthusiasts from across Telangana have been invited to participate actively in the week-long celebrations.
